Import requirements & restrictions
Import licensing required
Import licenses/permits are required in Uzbekistan for pharmaceuticals, certain chemicals, agricultural products, and dual-use items, obtained from the relevant government body before shipment. Regulated product categories additionally require an Uzbekistan conformity certificate, administered by Uzstandard -- goods arriving without it cannot clear customs regardless of exporting-country documentation. Food/pharmaceutical/agricultural products need health and safety certificates; chemical compositions and highly technical equipment require a customs-code classification certificate (up to 5 working days to prepare).
