Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
This page lists everything Customs Declare stores in your browser. We run no analytics, advertising or tracking, and no third-party cookies are set -- so there’s no “reject non-essential cookies” option: nothing here is non-essential.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| customs_session | Keeps you signed in to your workspace. | 12 hours |
| customs_refresh | Renews your session without asking you to log in again. | 7 days |
| customs_signup_binding | Ties a signup to the browser that started it, so a signup link can’t be completed from anyone else’s browser. Set only while you sign up. | 2 hours |
| customs_oauth_binding | Ties a “Continue with Google” sign-in to the browser that started it, preventing forged sign-ins. Set only during Google sign-in. | 15 minutes |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers the language you’re viewing the site in. | Until you close your browser |
All five are first-party and strictly necessary for something you ask for -- signing in, signing up securely, or seeing the site in your language -- so under GDPR/ePrivacy rules they don’t require consent. The four customs_ cookies are set with HttpOnly (scripts in your browser can’t read them) and Secure (sent only over HTTPS). NEXT_LOCALE holds nothing but a language code such as “en”.
Local storage
We store one small preference in your browser’s local storage: whether you’ve dismissed the cookie notice. It never leaves your browser.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we’ll add a real accept/reject choice before they’re set, and update this page to describe them.
See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the data behind your account.
