Import requirements & restrictions
Import licensing required
Products in the building/construction, electrical/electronics, and chemical/consumer-product categories require either a Philippine Standard (PS) Quality/Safety Certification Mark or an Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) certificate before distribution in the Philippines, administered by the DTI's Bureau of Philippine Standards (BPS) under DAO No. 5:2008. The ICC certificate is issued per shipment -- importers must secure clearance for each batch, not just once per product.
