Products subject to conformity assessment in Moldova's regulated area must bear the SM (Standard Moldovenescu) Conformity Mark before being placed on the market -- UNLESS the product already bears the CE mark, in which case the SM mark should not additionally be affixed (Moldova accepts CE as sufficient for those goods, reflecting EU-alignment under the EU-Moldova Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area). Customs declarations must be filed within 72 hours of import, accompanied by a certificate of conformity, certificate of origin, and standard shipping documents.
